What is performance testing under operational conditions?
The aim of this test is to assess the performance of security officers, by trying to take dummy prohibited items (weapons, explosives, etc.) into Security Restricted Areas.
Here, it is used to access the whole screening chain, from security officer efficiency to detection methods implemented and material resources used.
Performance testing under operational conditions can focus on the following security measures:
- Controlling access to Security Restricted Areas;
- Protecting aircraft;
- Screening passengers and carry-on baggage;
- Screening staff and items carried;

How do you set up performance testing under operational conditions?
Performance testing under operational conditions is organized and carried out based on specific methodology, defined by the DGAC – the French Civil Aviation Authority.
We have all the authorizations required for carrying out performance testing under operational conditions, including authorization certifying the training validated by the French DGAC for creating dummy explosives.

What exactly does a tester do? We provide you with baggage inside which we have hidden a dummy prohibited item which you must take through the various pre-boarding checkpoints, totally anonymously. In this way, we can assess security officer performance by checking if they detected the prohibited item(s) which you attempted to get on board the aircraft.
